Concept Concert Series

The First Concept Concert Series is a collection of Beginning Band compositions that correlate to a set standard of musical and performance concepts. Each standard is numbered 1 through 5 with 1 being the most basic of compositions (whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, unified rhythms, etc.) and performable after completion of the first few pages of most modern method books, and 5 being performable approximately at the end of the first year (full octave range, whole through eighth notes, dynamics, tempo markings, multiple key options, etc.).

The idea was that you could look at the Concept Map provided for any piece and once students have mastered the concepts within, this music could be passed out to students to review and apply their understanding by doing what students signed up for band to do - playing music! These pieces could by used for concerts, sight reading, general music playing, in tandem with method book study...

Listed below are the 5 levels of the First Concept Concert Series, there will be a Second Concept Concert Series in the future.
